FATHOM / Services / Web Development

Web Development

We build and ship the platform itself — composable architecture, self-hosted Payload CMS by default, full Arabic/RTL engineering, and contractual PageSpeed guarantees. From a AED 6,000 Growth site to a AED 35,000+ enterprise replatform, the same engineering discipline applies at every scale.

What this covers

01

Enterprise Replatform & Migration

Moving off a legacy CMS or SaaS platform onto composable, headless architecture — without breaking what already works.

02

Greenfield Platform Builds

Ground-up builds for new products, marketplaces, and multi-property ecosystems — architected for the scale you are growing into, not just the scale you are at today.

03

Growth Sites for SMBs & Clinics

Fully custom, Arabic/RTL-ready sites for local and growing businesses — from a brochure site to a small online store, delivered in 2–5 weeks.

04

Performance & UX Optimization

Focused sprints on an existing platform — Core Web Vitals, conversion-path fixes, and infrastructure work, without a full rebuild.

How we work

01

Discovery & Architecture Scoping

We map your existing systems, content model, and traffic profile, then scope the architecture — composable vs. standard, self-hosted vs. SaaS.

02

Design System & Build

A shared design system goes first, then the build — Next.js frontend, Payload CMS (or your existing backend, integrated as-is).

03

Integration & QA

CRM, commerce, ERP, and analytics connections, tested against real data — plus security and accessibility review before launch.

04

Launch & Performance Handoff

We launch against the agreed PageSpeed SLA and hand off a working platform — plus an optional monthly Care Plan if you want us to keep maintaining it.

Composable platforms, engineered — from Growth sites to enterprise replatforms.

Why FATHOM

Pricing you can see before you call

The Scope Estimator on our homepage shows real AED ranges for every project type — no "request a proposal" form standing between you and a number.

Data you own, not rent

Self-hosted Payload CMS by default means your content and infrastructure live on systems dedicated to you — not a shared multi-tenant SaaS platform.

Senior engineers only

7+ years of hands-on experience per team member — no junior hand-offs on critical paths, on any build regardless of size.

Arabic and RTL from wireframe one

Not a retrofit or a translation plugin — full RTL engineering is designed in from the first wireframe, included in every package.

White-label by default

NDAs are standard on every engagement. Your customers see your brand, not ours — which is also why our public case studies are anonymized.

Custom CMS vs. WordPress: which one fits your project?

WordPress is a reasonable choice for a simple content-driven site with modest traffic — the plugin ecosystem is mature and setup is fast. But it comes with real trade-offs at scale: plugin conflicts, security patching overhead, and performance that degrades as content and traffic grow. A composable, self-hosted architecture like the one we default to (Next.js + Payload CMS) costs more upfront but avoids that ceiling — no plugin dependency chain, no shared attack surface, and the performance headroom to scale traffic without a replatform. The right call depends on your traffic ambitions and how much control over the stack actually matters to you; we will tell you honestly during a scoping call if WordPress is the better fit for what you are building.

Frequently asked questions

Do you build on WordPress or a custom CMS?

Our default engine is Next.js with self-hosted Payload CMS — open-source, so your data and infrastructure stay fully under your control instead of living on a shared third-party SaaS platform. We will work with an existing WordPress or Strapi backend if migrating it isn't in scope, as we did on a recent retail rebrand.

How long does a build take?

Growth-track sites typically ship in 2–5 weeks. Enterprise replatforms and greenfield builds are scoped individually — the estimator gives a cost range, and we confirm a timeline during the scoping call once we know the integration surface.

What does pricing actually depend on?

Project type, architecture (standard vs. composable), expected traffic, design complexity, and integrations — the same inputs the Scope Estimator uses. Nothing is quoted behind a "request a proposal" form; the ranges are public.

What happens after launch?

Nothing ongoing is charged unless you choose to add it. Optional Care Plans start at AED 750/month for hosting, security patches, and a set amount of monthly development time.

Do you offer ongoing support and maintenance?

Yes — as an optional Care Plan, discussed during your scoping call rather than bundled by default. See our Website Support & Care page for the full breakdown of what is included at each tier.

Can you work with our existing systems?

Absolutely. We integrate with your CRM, commerce, ERP, and data stack — or help you migrate to a composable architecture if that is the better long-term move.

How do you handle compliance and security?

We align with SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, and UAE PDPL as standard. Security-conscious development and testing is part of every build before launch, not an afterthought bolted on at the end.

Will our customers know an outside studio built this?

Not unless you want them to. We operate as a discreet, white-label studio by default — your brand, your team, your credit. NDAs are standard on every engagement, which is also why our public case studies are anonymized.
